BIO Settings

Overview

The eZMP is shipped with default BIOS settings that require no changes for normal operation. The instructions below describe how to restore the BIOS to the default manufacturer's configuration which may be necessary if you have made changes to the BIOS and need to revert back to default settings or if the eZMP fails to boot up when running without a keyboard, such as for network connections with a LAN or crossover cable.

Disable Halt on Errors

This allows the eZMP to boot up when the eZMP is used without a keyboard.

1. On powerup, hit F2 to enter the BIOS menu.

2. Select the Advanced > Miscellaneous menu.

3. Select Halt On Errors and change the setting from Yes to No.

Disable Parallel Port

This modification keeps Windows XPe from asking to install the driver for the non-existant parallel port on boot up.

1. In the BIOS configuration menu, Select Advanced > I/O Device Configuration

2. Select SIO Options.

3. Select Onboard LPT and set it to Disabled.

Save BIOS Changes and Reboot

With the above configuration set, press F10 to save the changes and exit to reboot the eZMP.
