Where can I get a PC/DSP-X00 Controller? (X representing the number of axes 1-8)

PC/DSPs are obsolete and no longer available. However, the PCX/DSP was designed as a drop in replacement for the PC/DSP model (see below).

Can I use a PCX/DSP Controller as a drop in replacement for PC/DSP in my application?

Yes, if you are currently using MEI software version 2.1C or later and are not using Micro-stepping in your application. If you are using micro-stepping or a version of the software earlier than 2.1C, you can contact RSI to explore your options.

Why is Config failing to download firmware onto my PCX/DSP Controller?

If you have Software version 2.1C, you should request a copy of the 2.1C1 Config. While 2.1C works properly during execution, the Config program needs to be replaced.

Where can I get the latest drivers/software for my DSP card?

You can find the latest software on our Downloads page under the DSP Series Heading. Motion Console includes the driver and the software GUI. The Motion Developer’s Kit includes everything you need to compile code for your application.

The software provided on this site does not work for my application. What do I do?

Note that custom application software may have been built with a specific version of the DSP libraries. It is possible that you need an earlier version than the 2.6.00 release to work with your system. If it does not work for you, we will need to know more details about your application to properly support you. Please contact us at tech@roboticsys.com and include what version of the MEI software was used for development? What operating system and development environment are you using? As much detail about the application itself is also useful.
