MOONS’ MDX+ EtherCAT
The MDX+ family from Shanghai AMP & MOONS’ Automation Co., Ltd. combines the servo motor, drive, and encoder in one assembly. EtherCAT models are documented in both IP20 (MDXR) and IP65 (MDXT) variants, with 40 mm, 60 mm, and 80 mm frame sizes in the supplied hardware manual. The exact specifications and connections depend on the model number.
The hardware manual specifies a 24-60 VDC main power input and a 24 VDC auxiliary power input for the models it covers. The EtherCAT user manual documents CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE), the CiA 402 drive profile, process data mapping, the object dictionary, and operating modes including profile and cyclic synchronous position, velocity, and torque, plus homing.
The hardware manual lists 100 W, 200 W, 400 W, and 550 W motor ratings across the 40 mm, 60 mm, and 80 mm frames, but it does not give a rated motor output-current value for the family. Current is model-dependent, so confirm the exact SKU with MOONS’. IP65 MDXT variants are available, and the hardware manual notes that built-in STO is supported only by some models.
The manuals are MOONS’ documents. Check the model number and the latest manufacturer documentation before wiring, configuring, or servicing equipment.
The MDX+ EtherCAT model has been tested with RSI’s RMP controller.
