A recessed USB compartment within the chassis physically isolates critical peripherals such as software license keys. The design minimizes accidental disconnection during operation or maintenance while preserving external I/O accessibility.

Supports 65W CPUs via auxiliary cooling
The system accommodates higher TDP processors (including 65W-class CPUs) by leveraging an optional external fan kit. This thermal extension enables expanded performance configurations without exceeding enclosure heat dissipation limits.

The iPC402 variant extends the iPC400 platform with two high-bandwidth PCIe Gen5 slots, enabling integration of advanced I/O, data acquisition, or specialized motion control cards — without sacrificing footprint.
