Some iPC commonly asked questions.

What type of fieldbus interfaces are integrated?

The iPC Series can be used with widely-used industrial master Fieldbus interfaces including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT to communicate with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and remote I/Os from major brand-name suppliers.

Do all iPCs have the same power input?

Yes, all iPCs use DC input +24V ± 20%

Can iPCs run the RMP EtherCAT Soft Motion Controller?

Absolutely, iPCs are the recommended product to run our motion controller. All iPCs we sell have been fully tested and show supreme real-time performance when running the RMP Motion Controller.

How is chassis or CPU fan failure handled?

The iPC units are fanless. We use an embedded CPU and the unit has sufficient heat sinks to eliminate the need for any moving parts inside the industrial PC.

How is a bad storage part handled?

The iPC units have a removable storage bay at the front of the unit so there is no need to ship customers with replacement industrial PCs. Instead, just ship them a working HDD or SSD.
