This OEM produces equipment for electronics assembly industry. The OEM has installed over 20,000 machines worldwide and has a reputation for building flexible and effective machines for customers of all sizes.
Solution
Hardware
OEM selected RMP EtherCAT motion controller to control their machine. RSI assisted with the selection of the servo motors, drives, cabling, and I/O components to help the OEM build a topside X, Y servo gantry system. The customer leverages in-house laser marker and in-house advanced vision system. OEM also provides equipment for bar code scanner including a bottom in-feed/out-feed conveyor.
Software
RSI provided software libraries and tools to help the customer program their machine in C++.
